HI,I have been given Primolut for heavy peroids. I started taking it on the second day of my period. I have only taken about two tablets a day. My period is so light it is unbelievable. The only thing I am worried about is what I will get when I stop taking this ? Also I don t know why my gyno prescribed me this when it is only delaying the inevitable ? Also I found out I have a fibroid. The gyno said I can get edometrial ablation but they won t remove the fibroid ? I was quite dissapointed as I want the fibriod removed and the ablation done at the same time. I am 41 and have been suffering since 2008. At the end of my tether. Please help
Primolut is given to control bleeding . Mostly its given continuosly. The reason for not removing the fibroid may be that the fibroid is small and not causing the problem you are having. The surgery to remove the fibroid has its own problems. Endometrial ablation is quite effective in controlling bleeding.
