Suggest Remedy For Pigmentation Problem Around The Mouth
Hi,
The area around my mouth is darker than the other part of my face. I have tried many doctors and medicines like Clonate lotion, Carofit ultra etc. However, it did improve very little but never have cured all. Could you please suggest something (but not the steroids and other harmful bleach which was prescribed once and has done a lot damage) for permanent cure.
Hi there,,,Welcome to HCM -This condition is called 'Erythrose Peribuccale Pigmentaire de BROCQ' [EPP] -It affects middle age women most commonly. -It characterized by diffuse hyperpigmentation present symmetrically around the mouth, with sparing the vermillion border. -Limit use of excessive make up..if using then go for dermatologically tested ones. -Use a plain toothpaste without mint or fragnance. -Use metrogyl gel over the affected area for a week than apply tacmod lotion for 3 weeks. -Use a good sunscreen like suncross soft lotion in the day.. -You can add an antioxidant like antoxid-HC once a day to your schedule Hope this will help you
