My husband has ache like pimples close to the under arm area but on his inner arm. He says he pops them and a solid ball comes out. He describes it as a ball of dried skin. What could this be, I see them on his arms periodically. He is a heavy smoker and I think it has to do with this, can your bodies secrete nicotine or other foul gunk from cigarettes ?
Hi. As per your case history of pimples, my treatment advice is - 1. They are not related to smoking. It is a bacterial infection of skin. 2. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition. 3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
