I have a flat dark spot spreading from sun-temple to eye corner now. I knew many years ago (more than 10, maybe), I had a pimple that was not taken care of, so the pimple dried down by it self. A few years later, a soy bean sized dark spot appeared, and I went through laser treatment, then the dark spot came back again with a bigger size after maybe two years; laser treatment again, the dark spot continued to come back with larger size. I want know why and was wondering if there is any better treatment option to cure this? Thank you!
As per your case history, you are a sebaceous cyst. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching and NSAID like ibuprofen for pain. 4. Only curative treatment is excision under local anesthesia done by a dermato-surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
