Suggest Remedy For Pimples Without Help From BPO, Clindamycin Phosphate Gel With NILAC Gel
i have been using deriva BPO + clindamycin phosphate gel(night) and NILAC gel(morning) for more than 2 months. Earlier i used acnovate (night) and NILAC gel(morning) for about 4 months. plus some antibiotics in between. Inspite of proper care and medication i am not able to get rid of pimples. Please help me what to do.
You are on the right kind of medication for acne control. Deriva-BPO and Acnovate gel contain Adapalene which is a wonderful antiacne drug because of its comedolytic action and anti-inflammatory action. I would suggest that you continue with it once daily at night.
Your dermatologist might need to add an oral antibiotic like doxycycline or azithromycin if need be.
I must mention about Oral Retinoids: For severe acne OR for acne unresponsive to traditional anti-acne medications, Isotretinoin can be started. It the only drug which offers any chance of long term cure and after a full course of isotretinoin significant number of people never have a recurrence of there acne. It should be taken under the supervision of a dermatologist because of certain lab tests which are to be done before and during treatment with isotretinoin.
I would advice you to see your dermatologist and have a discussion with him/her keeping all these points in mind.
regards
