Starting several months ago, I began to experience a pounding & fullness in my ears after car rides of 20 mins or more. I have high blood pressure, however it s been treated successfully for years. My GP says that it s still normal. A visit to an ENT revealed nothing, even after a head CT. The radiologist did remark my left cardriod artery is larger than the right, yet the ENT wasn t concerned with that observation. Any suggestions?
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Your fullness of ear could be due to Eustachian tube (tube connecting middle ear and nose) dysfunction secondary to sinusitis, polyp, allergy or deviated nasal septum.
Kindly evaluate again with an ent surgeon, and discuss with him (audiometry and nasal endoscopy). I do agree larger carotid artery can cause tinnitus(ringing sound in ear), but not ear fullness.
Hope, I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
