Hi am 27 and when I was 4 I had an operation in which they discovered I have a duplicates kidney. Am a bit concerned as where the drain was put after my op, there is a dip in my scar and it's aching alot even if I don't eat or drink. Shooting pains down My pelvis as well. Is this just nerves or could it be to do with my operation as I do get numerous problems with my urinary tract? Thanks
Hi. Duplicate kidneys is a benign condition. Hence no need to worry per se. But as u have multiple urinary problems, get urine routine and culture to rule out any urinary infection. Get ultrasound KUB to rule out any stone in kidney, ureter or bladder. Treat these appropriately . Kindly keep me upgraded and also contact me for these for further advice.
