Suggest Remedy For Prostate Cyst, Urine Retention And Frequent Urination

Hi Im a healthy black male 49 years old. I run, exercise take good care of myself. Smoke occasional cigar, social drinker. My grandfather and father had/have prostate cancer. My grandfather lived to his mid 90s my father is 83. Last urology exam, a prostate cyst was found. I ve had some urine retention and frequency but not much different. Psa was .65 which is steady. My doctor scheduled biopsy but never discussed other options. I m not crazy about it and seekin second opinion before doing biopsy. Are there other treatments? Thanks.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have benign prostatic hyperplasia. Urine retention and frequency is common in that. Prazocin and finasteride are helpful in that condition. You have family history of prostate cancer so you should go to rule out prostate cancer also. As your PSA level is normal there is very low chance of prostate cancer. you should go for repeat PSA level at every 3 months. if your PSA level is increase then only you need biopsy otherwise biopsy is not needed.
