Suggest Remedy For Pulmonary Hypertension

Thank you for such a quick reply. You say it is better off excluded. Does that mean you think the Echo will show PH ? I have been up for almost 24hrs straight now worrying about this. If I have pulmonary Hypertension, from what I ve gathered online, it is still pretty much a death sentence, with a life expectancy of only 10yrs maximum. I don t think I will be able to wait to get the Echo done until next week. If I go to an ER and explain what is happening will they do one ? I have also been on Benzo s for over a year Ativan and more recently Kolonopin. I know they can cause dyspnea or am I mistaken ? I was also told by my Gastro that my reflux/hyiatal hernia can cause my symptoms as well. I am just totally freaked out now b/c I am 26 and I thought I had my whole life ahead of me, now that may not be the case. What else is more likely to be causing my symptoms beside the PH ? Do the normal chest x-ray and ekg s mean nothing ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In my opinion, possibility of pulmonary hypertension (PH) is very rare in your case because of normal chest x ray and ECG. In my opinion, your symptoms are mostly due to stress and anxiety. So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution. You may need additional anxiolytic drugs too. Also get done 2D echo to rule out PH. If echo is normal then no need to worry for PH or other heart diseases. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
