Suggest Remedy For Rashes During Periods

Hello, So for quite a while now I ve noticed that I get a diaper rash when on my period due to the pads. After a little while not on my period they clear up and go away. Except one time perhaps 2 months ago, I noticed a lump form between my vagina and rectum. It s almost numb, there s no feeling when I push on it, but it s giving me trouble. When I sit down on the toilet it sometimes splits which hurts then bleeds a tiny bit. Also when ever I go to the toilet to poo, as I wipe my bum it s hurts to wipe due to the lump. There s also a tidy bit of blood from where the lump has split. I ve also noticed that around the hole of my vagina it can get itchy as hell, but if I itch too much it bleeds. One time my vagina crusted up (where I scratch) I have no idea what could cause the lump and itchyness that came along it. I ve searched all over the internet, it doesn t appear to be sti/std or scabies? But perhaps I could be wrong. I m also 18 and sexually active incase that helps.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Rashes due to sanitary pads is a very common problem among women during menstruation. You can switch to tampons or use a lubricant on your pelvic area to avoid it.

In addition, the lump you are having could be a haemorrhagic cyst which is also very common in the area. Usually, they are symptomless but they may cause pain, haemorrhage and itchiness in case they get infected. Also, it is also causing you discomfort time to time. If you will try to break it yourself and remove, it will recur as the lining of tje cyst will stay inside. Thus, to get permanent relief from it, you should go to a gynecologist for surgical removal of the cyst.

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
