Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a D & C on May 24th and also a hystereoscopy since I started bleeding again on April 29 of this year. LMP was October 2010. Last pelvic exam in March 2012 was negative. This morning I had some rectal bleeding on 1/2 the peri pad when i woke up and subsequently had a formed stool that I could visually see blood in the feces. I called my gyn who performed the procedure and she thinks it could be hemorroidal bleeding, but I am not so sure of that since I saw the blood on the stool. The rectal bleeding however has subsided now to a small dime sized area on the pad. My gyn did inform me that the tissue obtained from the procedure was Grade 1 Adenocarcinoma and I need a hysterectomy soon with lymph node biopsy to stage the cancer. Since it is the Holiday weekend I will be calling a surgical oncologist on Tuesday. Should I be going in today to see someone about the rectal bleeding though? I am really concerned.
