Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain mouth ulcers also known as Canker sores or Apthous ulcers can occur due to a number of reasons and at times it can also occur without any known reason..
The exact cause of the Apthous ulcers is still unknown..
Antibiotics are at times considered causative for apthous ulcers and condition can get deteriorated after the intake of antibiotics..
In case of apthous ulcers that do not heal by other remedies STEROIDS are given for relief..
Steroids like
Prednisone which has to be taken in a loading dose and the dose is then slowly tapered off.
For pain OTC painkillers like
Ibuprofen can be taken..
Do warm saline gargles.
Gargles with 1:1 solution of benadryl and
milk of magnesia can help.
Hydrogen peroxide mixed with water can be used for gargles..
Sucking on ice pops can help..
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration..
Do not take spicy and sour foods..
Maintain a good
oral hygiene..
In case if the ulcers are persistent and does not resolve even after this a biopsy has to be taken to rule out for any malignant ulcers..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
