Suggest Remedy For Recurring Urine Infection In Infant

hello doctor, my 11 month son has urine infection..with pus cell 10-15.this is 3rd time with in 4 month he suffers from urine infection ..with pus cell avg-15-20 doctor suggested levosil,septron for remedy. after tat he is suggesting for ultrasound for knowing the reason for repetidly urine infection.sir wats the cause of such urine infection,is ultrasound necessary??

Hi,

The most important test when he gets urine infection next time is urine culture- only this can confirm urine infection. Pus cells usually suggests urine infection, but can occur in other conditions as well.

Repeated UTI anyhow needs investigations to look for any urinary tract abnormalities and status of kidneys. Ultrasound is the first step- so kindly get it done as your doctor suggested.
