Suggest Remedy For Red Circular Patches On The Face
I have developed a circular patch on my face. The center is white with a small red hard nodule in the center. As it heals the skin darkens to a purple/brown colour. Location is on my cheeks. It started on one side and has now spread to the other? The red bumps are painful to touch for the first two days. the skin is discolored white (even after sun); dark patch is a large circle that never goes away now.
Hi. As per your case history you are having fungal infection called as tinea faciei. My treatment advice is - 1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. 2. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily. 4. Other treatment options are oral fluconazole, itraconazole and terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
