Hi, Thank you for taking my question. I have a red patch on my palate. At first it was just small red bumps, but now it s changed shape and gotten bigger. It s been there for about six months. I actually forgot all about them until I went to the dentist. They do not hurt. They are just there. Thank you for any input.
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The red patch could be because of the fungal infection like candidiasis or it can be erosive lichen planus or it can be pemphigus. Consult a oral physician and get your self examined to rule out the above mentioned conditions. You can use topical steroids like triamcinolone acetonide (0.1%) if it is erosive lichen planus or pemphigus. if it is candidiasis then you can take topical antifungal agents like candid mouth paint. If it is not healing for more thah 3weeks then you have to get a biopsy done to rule out any malignancy. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
