Suggest Remedy For Red Small Whiteheads On Neck And Collarbone

Hi, my name is Hayley, I m 20 years old and I have suffered from acne for a good 8 Years, last week I had a allergic reaction to something I used on my face, within 30 seconds I have a red bumpy rash on over my face and neck, I stopped using anything on my face as everything was making it worse, it gets better then when I wake up its awful again. Yesterday whilst at work red small white heads have appeared all over my collarbone and my neck. I used to have the odd spot on my back/shoulder but not as bad as this. Any advice on how to clear it? I have never been to see a dermatologist as my doctors think my acne isn t severe enough. I also suffer from cat/dust allergy which Dosent help as I have to live with 6 cats. My face has randomly got incredibly oily. My skin is normally oily tzone and dry cheeks Could you give me any advice?

My Dear

Welcome to this website!

I have gone through your concerns and i think you have an acne-prone skin with recent Allergic Dermatitis.

It is good that you have stopped using the offending substance. You have mentioned that similar spots appeared on your collarbone and neck. to me that appears to be an extension of the irritant dermatitis. For any such problem, i prefer to use Hydrocortisone like weak ointment with great advantage to my patients. I usually add anti allergics like Cetirizine to the prescription of my patients.

For the allergic phenomenon I highly recommend to wash off the area with plain water frequently. On the T area of the face, the redness due to oiliness can be checked with a topical immunomodulator called Tacrolimus 0.03% applied to the affected area for several weeks. It has practically no side effects and is non habit forming which makes it superior to steroids.

I hope this information will guide you to better health,

Our best wishes
