After a full day of walking in Seattle with lots of stairs and steep streets, I developed red spots above my ankles. No pain, no itching. It happened once before when I did a lot of walking in Vegas. I thought it was from the 100+ heat but the temperatures in Seattle were very pleasant.
Hi. As per your case history you are having pigmented purpuric dermatosis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid standing for long periods of time and keep pillows below legs while sleeping. 2. Apply a calcium dobisilate cream twice daily on affected skin. 3. Other treatment options are oral calcium dobisilate, mild topical steroid cream given only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
