Suggest Remedy For Red Squishy Thing On The Side Of Nail
Hi. I had a question about this ingrown toe nail ive been dealing with at home. What you should know is I have a history of ingrown toe nail problems ever since i was young Ive already treated the ingrown toe nail by snipping the excess nail that was jabing my skin Ive been applying neosporin and disinfecting it alomg with placing a small cottomball under the corner of the nail to elevate it But my problem is that theres this red squishy piece of skin or what ever it is on the side of the nail and i dont know what to do with it. Theres no pain but its disturbbing having this red squishy thing on the side of the nail. Thanks for the advice. Sorry its a bit long!
hi. the red squishy thing you are talking about is your paronychia. it's the tissue surrounding nails but because of the ingrown problem it's overgrown. the best remedy for your ingrown toenail nail is partial nail avulsion followed by phenolisation. it's an office procedure. you need to visit a dermatologist for this. once the procedure is over your nail will be normal after about 15 days. wear open footwears to avoid recurrances. thanks
