Suggest Remedy For Scars From Stitches

HI Doctor one of my colleague Daughter stitches mark in head, due to his misconception, head injuries, get the idea how to remove his stitches mark, get possible any idea, i am in medical transcription guys , please let me know any conformation from your side, This is humble request, and this munificent question, please suggest it. can it s possible this answer, i am very honorable, thankful to you, Please do the need full for the same, Thanks & Regards Mohan Barik

Hello,

I appreciate your apprehension for the scars from stitches in your colleague’s daughter.
In scars when there is an over proliferation of then are more visible and causes unsighted appearance.

For the treatment I suggest my patients to apply a tretinoin based cream over the scar tissue. This modifies the scar tissue and causes formation of collagen giving better appearance. Initially it can give bit redness so it has to be applied in bare minimum amount so that it should not be visible to the naked eye. I suggest my patients to apply it at night time as in day time there can be bit sun sensitivity.


You can meet a dermatologist for further guidance. Sun protection is also an important part in reducing the pigmentation if present on the scar.
