Suggest Remedy For Sever Cough And Chest Pain

Hi, one of our co-workers shared her Summer chest cold with the office, and I apparently was not immune. I have no fever, not coughing anything up, can t clear my throat and I can feel the rumbling in my chest. What can I do about moving this out of my chest because the cough is deep and miserable.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion, you might have contacted infection through your co worker.
Severe cough, chest pain, rumbling sound from the chest etc are suggestive of lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI).
So better to get done chest x ray and clinical examination of respiratory system to rule out LRTI.
You will improve by antibiotic, anti inflammatory, mucolytic, expectorant drugs.
These drugs will dilute the secretions and make them easy to cough out.
Also take pneumococcal and Influenza vaccines to prevent such lung infection.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
