Suggest Remedy For Severe Acid Reflux In An Elderly Person
My Husband has a lot of gas when he eats. He also has the shivers when he has a attack. He has stomach ache and goes to the bathroom a lot but says he does not have diaharrea. He has had lots of these attacks but says he is o.k. he is 68 years old. he also does not eat big meals any more. do you think it has something to do with the gall bladder?
Hello and welcome to HCM I have read your query I hope this will help Your husband seems to have acid reflux symptoms with abdomenal bloating.. I don't think from the history provided by you that they would have been caused by gall bladder problem... I think he should continue eating small meals and avoid lying or sleeping immediately after taking meal.. Mean while he could use medicine like SIMETHICONE SYRUP 2teaspoons 3TIMES A DAY AFTER MEALS AND CAP OMEPRAZOLE 20MG ONE 30-BEFORE BREAKFAST DAILY... There is not much to worry at the moment but if his symptoms worse or there is associated weight loss and diarrhea please consult your physician and proceed accordingly. Thanks Dr faeza
