Suggest Remedy For Severe Chest Pain After Smoking Marijuana
Hey Doctor! I have been smoking weed for almost 2 years now and never had any problems until now. My chest began to hurt 2 days ago and it still does. No coughing or anything it just hurts. Should I be worried about lungcancer? If I go to the doctor should I tell him that I smoked weed? Thank you!
1. Hi... Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC... I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns... There is nothing to worry about Lung Cancer as chest pain is very common among marijuana users. Chest pain due to marijuana use can be because of common practice among marijuana users to keep the inhaled smoke within the lungs in order to increase absorption of the active ingredients of marijuana into the bloodstream. This keeps the chest cavity expanded to its maximum capacity during the period and leads to a greater exposure per breath to tar. But smoke is harmful to lung health and prolonged use can increase chances of LUNG CANCER. As a precautionary measure, you should consult with a doctor and be honest about your marijuana usage because it will help him/her in the clinical evaluation and requesting necessary tests to exclude more serious medical conditions. Hope this information helps...
Thanks and Regards, Dr.Shiwani
