Suggest Remedy For Severe Headache And Vomiting From Exposure To Sun

Hello i have 2 boys who are 6 and 3. We have been away over the weekend and so they have been out in the sun alot. Because of the hot weather we have been having i have been applying factor 50+ suncream on them and they have been wearing their hats. Today though, they have been complaining of bad headaches and they won t stop being sick. I keep giving them water to hydrate them, then they bring it back up so i give them more water to stop them from getting degydrated and it starts again. Have they got sunstroke? What shall i do? They havent got a temperature. Thanks

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

If there is no any rash, chance of sunstroke is less. Rather, this might be beginning of a viral illness. Give them Acetaminophen for headache and give frequent sips of fluids like ORS solution to avoid dehydration. If not getting better in 2-3 days, we can evaluate further.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
