I am a 31 year old female who has been experiencing severe headaches in the afternoon for a few months. They have started to get worse and I am now experiencing a metallic taste in my mouth with nausea and vomiting. When the Headaches start my neck becomes stiff and uncomfortable. The only thing that has made any difference is laying down flat. I feel almost no pain when I am horizontal. I am not too sure if I should see a Dr. or wait it out. Medical history- About 8 months ago I was admitted to the hospital for something similar and they did a lumbar puncture and 3 blood patches after 2 of witch ended up causing me more pain the third one seemingly fixing the problem.
I went through the history and it seems you are having severe headache associated with nausea and vomiting. The common causes that needs to be ruled out are primary headaches like migraine. Since you have already undergone lumbar puncture it rules out raised intracranial tension and other intracranial causes. Do consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly depending on the underlying cause. Do write back to me for further questions.
Hope this is helpful yo you.
Thank you
