I read your question carefully and would like to explain that your symptoms may be related to different disorders: 1. a sinus infection could cause headache exacerbated by coughing. A routine blood test and a sinus x ray may be necessary for the diagnosis. 2. Raised intracranial pressure, which can be idiopathic or caused by an intracranial lesion. A brain CT scan, followed by a spinal tap may be necessary to exclude these disorders. 3. Arnold Chiary malformation. This is a congenital disorder. The brain CT scan would exclude this diagnosis. 4. Cough headache. It is a rare type of headache. If all the above tests result normal, this would be the most probable diagnosis. In this case, indomethacine twice daily would be helpful.
