Suggest Remedy For Severe Itching Over The Body
A Ca-Liver patient metastasis from colon underwent hemicolectomy about two years ago now having serum bilirubin 20mg/dl with severe itching over body, tried tab antihistamines (avil retard 75mg), tab Alatrol on different occasions but itching not subsided. What s to be done next ? Pl advise. Thanks.

Hi. The itching in this case is because of high bilirubin level. Just antihistamines wont help. One has to add Cholestyramine in this case. I think you should consult your oncologist/ physician and discuss about Cholestyramine. Hope it answers your queries
