Suggest Remedy For Severe Redness After Treating Sinus Infection

I am a 46 year old female. I have had extreme redness in my right eye for 3 weeks now. It's not pink eye nor is it a broken blood vessel. The only time it went away is the day after I received a steroid shot for a sinus infection, but it returned day and a half later. The only other symptom I have noticed is a few recent headaches during the same 3 week period. Any ideas?

Hi..
welcome to HCM..
thanks for the query..
do you have any itching in the eyes?
do you have any vision problems in the eye or any swelling of the eye?
it could be a allergic reaction or a mild viral infection..
steroids can reduce the inflammation anywhere in the body so there was decrease in the redness but it is recurrent..
you can use some lubricating eye drops for relief and wait for few more days..
if the symptoms persist or increase consult an ophthalmologist for evaluation..
hope this information helps you.. take care...
