Suggest Remedy For Severe Throat Infection

hey my name is menno and sons xmas my throat been hurting like a lot i can barely sleep i keep coughing(dry) i can barely eat or drink without it hurting so bad it sometimes brings tears as well as moving my tong and speaking hurts(some days) i feel dry out and everytime i drink(mostly water)it just works for like 5 min and than i feel dry out again and it feels like it s only getting worst it s very irregular one day it hurts more than other like yesterday i barely have a problem and today its been the worst so far

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe throat infection which is due to bacterial infection leading to strep throat. I would suggest you to maintain proper oral hygiene. You should take Diphenhydramine and Dextromethorphan for 4-5 days. Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis like throat swab test abd viral culture test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxiclav at least for 10 days along with decongestant. You should take you take antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present. Lemon does not go along with sore throat it will exaggerate your symptoms. You should avoid it .Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Throat lozanges one every 4 hours is helpful. Drink luke warm water throughout the day as it can provide relief.
