Suggest Remedy For Skin Ailments

I am a 48yr. old female, weight...195, no other health conditions. Could my hypothyroidism cause the skin on my face to reproduce too quickly? I get patches of what looks to be dry skin. Sometimes the patches are thick enough that when I remove them I bleed a little. I take 112mcg of Levothyroxine once daily. This skin condition started 3 or 4 years after being diagnosed. What can I do to treat this condition? Also my brother has psoriasis.
