Suggest Remedy For Skin Irritation On Scalp

I have skin irritations on the scalp that are very sore, itchy and will not go away. I have changed shampoos and stopped using hair sprays or conditioners. These seem to feel better after each shampoo and then reoccur again. they are very sore and irritated now. What might I do to eliminate them.

Hi,

You may be having scalp prurigo. There may be severe itchy papular eruptions on scalp. Psychological stress might induce or exacerbate the disease. Dandruff must be ruled out. If it is there, it may be cleared with shampoo containing ketoconazole. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis.

He might give antihistaminics like levocetirizine along with steroids in tappering doses. Apply mild steroid lotion. Cleanse the scalp with savlone liq. Avoid stress. You may take fluoxetin 10 mg to relive stress and tension. You might feel better in few weeks. I hope this would help you.

Thanks.
