Suggest Remedy For Sore In The Temple Area

Hi I got punched in the left temple a week and a half ago. 3 days after it happened I went to the ER because it caused a nasty black eye. They did a CT scan which they said was normal but now I still have a very sore not on my temple. Can this be a blood clot that has formed?

Thank you for writing to HCM

If a CT scan was done and it was normal, then there is little chance that there is any problem due to the brain. Did you get a CT scan after the discharge from the hospital as well? If that was normal, then it is possible that you have a migraine that was triggered by the injury.

You can try the following things to see if they help:
- Drink lots of water
- Apply warm water sponges to the are of pain to reduce the pain and swelling
- Take a Paracetamol 500 to help you with the pain
- Sleep well and sleep for at least 8 hours every day

Follow up after a week. Wish you a speedy recovery.
Hope this helps you
