Hi my 7 year old started complainging after her bath about sore red marks on her ribs. There are 2 red spots on the exact same spot on botb sides of her ribs. They are tender to the touch and she says they burn. It is not a raise rash. I was wondering what would cause this?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of sore red marks on chest which could be due to contact with allergic and poisonous agent, bacterial infection of hair follicle, eczema, fungal infection, and poor hygiene. It could be due to skin photosensitivity due to sun exposure as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain hygiene and wear loose clothes as it will prevent skin eruptions. You should apply topical antibacterial/ antifungal cream. You should take anti allergic medication such as benadryl, cetirizine. You should visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after complete examination. You should take proper antibiotic course as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
