Suggest Remedy For Soreness And Tingly Feeling In Knee

I twisted my knee about 2 weeks ago and it has been sore for the entire time. It is starting to feel better and I m able to bend it more and more, however, last evening my shin bone below my left knee started to feel numb. I can walk just fine, but anytime I touch it it feels tingly.

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As post-injury, there will be pain and inflammation due to which there will be changes in the body biomechanics and this may have led to changes in the gait cycle leading to abnormal stress and strain over the muscular system . Once the normal biomechanics changes there are expected to be changes in the symptoms.

Doing correction of the knee biomechanics will help reduce the other symptoms.

Do the exercise for improving the Range of Motion of the knee and strengthening the muscles of the thigh and legs to stabilize the knee joint, improve muscle strength and correction of the gait cycle.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
