Suggest Remedy For Soreness In Chest And Stress

I amd 25 years old have a family history of heart problems. I have been very stressed out during the past year and occasionally get a light soreness in my chest. Is it smart to go to a cardiologist to have him run tests, if for nothing else, for peace of mind?

Hi,

Highly unlikely to have cardiac problem at this age, the more likely possibilities of gastritis and reflux. Still there is no harm in getting evaluated with ECG, lipid profile but not absolutely warranted. You should avoid spicy and fatty foods. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. Also maintain sleep habits regular and also do regular exercises. Have some walk after meals instead of taking rest immediately. You can take acid suppressant like tab Pantoprazole.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sagar Makode
