Hi. I recently noticed a distortion of my chin area and my bottom lip. I previously had basal cell carcinoma on my chin and I had the Mohs procedure which left me with a scar about two inches long on my chin. Then I started noticing very fine red veins radiating from a center spot on my chin and then recently I noticed my chin and bottom lip becoming slightly deformed and a raised round spot about the size of a dime on my bottom lip. Also, I have had dry lips and crusting along the edges of my lips. I am not sure if these things are related. Do you have any idea what might be going on with my chin and lips? There are obvious slight distortions of my chin below my lip and my bottom lip.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of sorenes on chin, my treatment advice is:
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medicine like levocetrizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid to be taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
