Suggest Remedy For Soreness In Eyes Post An Oil Spill

Very Hot cooking oil (olive oil) splashed in one eye. Very red and very sore.. No food contamination in oil as was before food went into pan. What should I do? Is there anything the emergency room can do for me or is it best just rinsed with cool water and check again in morning ... Vision is a blur in the eye.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that oil spill into your eye following which you are having soreness of the eye.
First thing that needs to be done is wash the eyes thoroughly. Since vision is blurred you need to consult your ophthalmologist. If you are not able to contact him now you can use antibiotic eye drops and do consult him for examination to look for any damage to the cornea or other structures and treatment accordingly.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Thank you
