Hi Dr. My daughter was sick for about 2-3 days and she developed a tongue rash and sore, raw, and she has peeled in the middle of her tongue. It's just like if she had been eating sour candy. Is baking soda and water good to rinse her mouth or is there a better cure? Thankyou.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your daughter is having soreness of to gue following sickness. This is commonly seen because of altered taste sensation as a result of damage to taste glands. This will resolve over 3-5 days, hence no need to be worried. She needs to continue salt warm water gargling for symptomatic relief.
Hope this is helpful to you. Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you With regards
