Suggest Remedy For Soreness In Tongue

The tip of my tongue has become very sore. I first noticed it few weeks ago, after being ill. The pain slowly went away, and then came back a few days ago, after having eaten some almonds. I have recently begun taking a mixture of almonds, raisins, cranberries, and peanut m &m's to work to snack on throughout the day. I have never had any known nut allergies, and have never previously had issues when eating nuts. Any thoughts? I am a 34 year old male, 6'2", 280 lbs. Aside from some excess weight, very healthy.

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that recurring soreness of tongue seems to be due to inflammation of tongue known as Glossitis and can occur due to causes like:
-Deficiency of Iron and Vitamin B12.
-Dry mouth.
-Traumatic injury to tongue tip.
-Eating very hard foods.
-Tongue bite etc..
It does not seems like Allergic reaction..
As of now you should take a vitamin B complex supplement daily..
You should do warm saline gargles..
In case if you have any sharp edge of the tooth get it smoothed..
You should do cool compresses over the tip of tongue to relieve inflammation..
Drink plenty of water and avoid spicy foods..
In case of no improvement consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
