Suggest Remedy For Stabbing Pain In Rib Cage

What should I do? I m having sharp, stabbing pains on my left side, underneath my rib cage, below my breast. The pain seems to go through to my back and then up my spine. At the same time, every hour or so I get a pain in the center of my chest, it almost makes me feel weak. The pain in my left side is becoming unbearable. I m not sure if this is something I should worry about or just deal with. The pains started this morning and haven t stopped. I m female. 24yrs old.

Hi,

Left sided chest pain is generally not something doctors take lightly. But since you are only 24 years old there shouldn't be a cause for concern. To be on the safer side get yourself checked up physically in person.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. John Chacko, Orthopedic Surgeon
