Suggest Remedy For Stinging Burning Sensation In Foot
Are there any topical teatments that alleve the burning sensation caused by a post-surgical hematoma? I had foot surgery on my toes and ended up with a poat-op hematoma on top of forefoot. My surgeon performed an I&D of the hematoma, it is NOT infected and it is gradually resolving itself. But the stinging burning sensation is still present and is severe enough at night to interfere with my sleep

Dear patient
Since surgery was done on your foot sometimes during surgical incision taking cutaneous nerves are damaged inadvertently.due to damage to cutaneous nerves it heals with neuroma formation and leads to burning sensation. Start taking tablet vitamin B12 and pregabalin combination at bedtime for 10 days. Also take tablet prednisone 15mg once a day for 5 days. If this doesn't benefit you may require neuroma eexcision
