Hi doctor, for the past few months I have a stinging pain in my nose. feels as if its wounded inside. even had some little bleeding in the nose initially. but then it stopped. later I found it difficult to inhale especially when i go out. When i walk i feel as if the air i take in is very cold. in addition to that, for the past few days i feel difficult to breathe while talking (it gets worse when i talk in the phone). i feel very uncomfortable and at times it even feels as if my head is spinning around. can you please help me out?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of having had stinging pain in nose and little bleeding initially. difficulty in inhaling, talking and so on.
Your symptoms are suggestive of one of the following diagnosis:
Nasal hypertrophied turbinates.
Atrophic rhinitis with super-added infection.
Any mass lesion.
Cancer.
Polyps.
This can be diagnosed by the following ways:
Consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, Nasal Endoscopy, biopsy if necessary.
CT scan of nose and sinuses.
Relevant tests of blood.
All these will give the best possible diagnosis allowing a proper and specific management.
Do not try anything at home as this can miss and delay the diagnosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
