I got a really bad sunburn on my forehead while in Hawaii. The second day it looked fine just really red but today I woke up and it s really swollen, looks like someone hit me in the head and left a goose egg . Is that sun poisoning? Should I just ice it and take some ibu. Not sure if I should be concerned?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sunburn on forehead this is because your skin is very sensitive to sun and leads to accumulation of UV rays of sun in deeper skin layers and leads to hyperpigmentation and thick patchy feel. Need not to worry about it. Avoid exposure to sun and if ever you have to go cover your skin with wet cloth. Apply sunscreen which is medicated and rich in SPF 30 i.e Tan Care. Take peel of mashed potatoes and apply on face for 15 mins. on daily basis to prevent sunburn. Take cotton swab and dip it in tea tree oil and apply on forehead and face to lighten effect of sun burn. Apply aloe vera gel or apple cider vinegar on these patches after sun burn and get better relief. Take diet rich in vitamin C. Replenish fluids and rehydrate body with water.
