Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Bruises On Eyelid In Infants

Hi Doctor. My 6 months old baby fell off the bed to hard floor with 50cm height about 5 days ago. He was lying on his back when my husband found him. His forehead was swollen but it was almost gone the next day. However his eyelid became swollen the next day. On third day his eyelid and around it has greenish colour but swollen has reduced. Other than that he looks normal. Should I be worry with his left eye? Will the bruise affect his eyesight? Thanks Doctor

Hello,Thanks for your query.After going through your query I came to know that your baby got injury to his forehead and eyelid and got hematoma. If he has no fever, then no need to worry much. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it.Take care gel does not go inside eye. Analgesics such as ibuprofen will be useful for pain relief.
