Suggest Remedy For Swelling & Bruises In Cheek

my 16 year old daughter got hit in the cheek by a surf board. the wound slightly bled and did swell a little and brusing did occur. Now that the swelling and color are returning to normal when she smiles you can see a vertical line go down her face.... like an indention. what could it be? since it only is noticeable when she smiles i was thinking soft tissue damage.... what do you think?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

This line could be related to soft tissue inflammation due to the trauma. If there is no face asymmetry while smiling or mimics, there is no reason to panic.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
