Suggest Remedy For Swelling In Forearm Due To Wasp Bite

I was stung by a wasp on my wrist 2 days ago. The swelling spread to my hand and forearm (maybe due to itching?). I went to the doctor this morning and got a steroid and antibiotic shot and antibiotic prescription. 8 hours later and no change. There s no pain, just itchy and swollen. I m 34 6 3 234lbs. I have shown similar swelling after fire ant bites. What could be happening that the shots aren t working and should I be concerned?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you were stung by wasp on wrist 2 days back and swelling spread to forearm and hand . You have got injection of steroids and antibiotics. But 8 hours later there is no change in swelling. It is normal. Swelling increase for one or two days and then it gradually it decreases. You can take anti allergic drugs and analgesics prescribed to you. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
