Suggest Remedy For Swelling In Nose

hello i hit my nose 5 months ago and it swelled so much and i got a cut on my nose too but the doctors said it wasn't broken.I'm wondering ,does the look of my nose change even it's not broken or does it need to be broken to have its shape permanently change? And how long does it take the swellings to heal completely ?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, trauma to the nose can cause blunt injury or nasal bone fracture.
Both conditions cause swelling of the nose.
Both conditions can change the shape of the nose.
Both conditions are treated with anti inflammatory medicines to reduce the swelling for 7 to 10 days.
At the max it takes 4 to 6 weeks for the swelling to completely reduce.
In case of nasal bone fracture, fracture is reduced after the nose swelling reduces.
In your case , its been 5 months since the in jury and your nose shape is changed.
If you want the nose shape to be corrected then it is done by surgical correction only.
No medicines to correct the shape.
I would advise you to consult with the doctor and discuss my view with him. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
