Suggest Remedy For Swelling In Penis In A Child

My 6 year old son put his penis by the hot tub jet. The heat wasn t on just the jets. I didn t realize he was doing that but he got out to change and showed me and it was super swollen on the shaft and hasn t gone down for about an hour. I wasn t sure if I should take him to the doctor or if the swelling will go away on it s own. It s normal coloring and it doesn t seem to be bothering him too much just a little sensitive. But it s pretty swollen especially right under the tip

Hi.... I suggest you put some cold water in the region and see if there is any betterment of the Swelling. But you need not worry if he is not feeling any discomfort or if there is no problem in passing urine. If these two things appear then I suggest you get him evaluated by a physician or pediatrician.
