Hello,

I can understand your concern. As the accident happened about 8 months ago and it was associated with swelling of the cheek area, it is possible that the cheek bone or zygomatic arch was cracked or fractured at that time that healed on its own leaving a hematoma-like bump behind.

In such case, I would advise you to visit an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for examination of the area and an x-ray that will show any problems with the bony structures in the area. Based on the x-ray, further treatment can be advised.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
