Suggest Remedy For Swollen Ear & Neck Caused By Tick Bite

My 92 year old mother was bitten by something, she thinks was a wood tick and she lost it before I could see it. It is on the back of her neck and runs down and now under her right ear lobe and into the side of her face. it is very swollen and pains run through it. I have had her to two doctors in four days with no satisfactory answers.... Help !!! Why must everyone want money for helping someone??

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The use of anti inflammatory pain medication (eg ibuprofen, naproxen, cataflam) and anti histamines would help with the pain and swelling but she may still need additional treatment.

Her doctors may consider blood tests to determine the type of tick, if possible, and also if there are any sequelae.

I hope this helps
