Suggest Remedy For Swollen Legs And Leaking Fluid In A Leukaemia Patient

I have a friend who has leukemia. Her legs have been swollen for several months now. They have leaked fluid at least two other times recently but had stopped with the help of medication. This time they are not stopping and it has been about a week and a half. She is getting increasingly weaker and she feel this morning. Should I take her to the hospital or what and call her doctor Monday to let her know she is not getting any better just worse. She no longer eats only drinks ensure 3 times a day and very little to drink (water) if any.

Uncontrolled odema is common problem in patient with leukemia.

Low albumin due to chemotherapy and/or due to leukemia itself can lead to this problem.

Deep Vein Thrombosis also need to be ruled out.

I believe she require immediate medical attention as her symptoms are refractory to medication.

Wish you good health.
